Summer Student Wanted

April 30th, 2008
The Marmora & Lake Public Library Board requires a student employee from July 2nd to August 23rd, 2008. Candidate must enjoy working with children, be creative and capable of working independently. Responsibilities include assisting with planning and implementation of children's summer programming for ages 3-14 years. General knowledge of computer/internet necessary. Deadline for applications is May 17, 2008. All interest is appreciated, however only candidates scheduled for interview will be notified. Amnesty Month

Spring cleaning special!
Any materials returned in good condition during April will have all fines waived. So keep a close eye out while you are doing your spring cleaning, and double check those home book shelves!

Now on Display

Spring flowers have arrived at the library! Our display cabinet is now filled with ceramic blooms. Our thanks to Judy Durbatch for the loan of her collection.

Luau Fun!

March 14th, 2008
Peels of laughter could be heard throughout the library during our Spring Break Luau! Our young guests had a wonderful time learning traditional Hawaiian dances, creating a volcano, and participating in a limbo contest! We're very happy they enjoyed themselves and it was so nice to have a glimpse of sunshine! Our sincere thanks to all the volunteers and guests who made this day possible!

We're Almost There

Our new Mandarin Library Program has arrived and we have been quite busy preparing it for use. Due to this process, our new book list will not be updated for January and February.
